Driver, Passenger Killed After Car Crashes Down Embankment On CT Roadway, Police Say Connecticut State Police are asking the public for help identifying two people who were killed in a single-car crash. The crash took place in New Haven County on I-91 in North Haven around 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30 near Exit 12. Police said a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on I-91 when it passed the off-ramp and ran off the road to the right.  The car then traveled down an embankment and collided with a tree, causing the car to catch on fire, state police said. ID Released For 19-Year-Old Killed In Chain-Reaction Lynbrook Crash Police have identified a 19-year-old Long Island man killed in a chain-reaction crash. Nasir Reid, of Lynbrook, was killed on Tuesday, Nov. 29 during a three-vehicle crash in Lynbrook, said the Nassau County Police. According to Nassau County Police, Reid was driving a 2009 BMW southbound on Ocean Avenue when it hit a Nissan Pathfinder. The Pathfinder, occupied by the 57-year-old male driver and a female passenger, age 51, was traveling northeast at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard, police said. Driver From Norwalk Charged After Driving 110 MPH In Fairfield County, Police Say A 22-year-old man was arrested after being stopped for allegedly driving 110 mph in a 55 mph zone on a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County. Victor Espinoza, of Norwalk, was stopped around 12:25 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, after Connecticut State Troopers clocked him at 110 mph in his 2015 Chevrolet Camero in Fairfield, state police said. Espinoza was charged with reckless driving and failure to carry a driver's license. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 19 in Bridgeport.
