25-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash Police are searching for witnesses after a man was killed in a single-vehicle Hudson Valley crash. The crash took place in Orange County around 6:45 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 11 on Colonial Avenue in the village of Warwick. "It's believed the accident had occurred several hours earlier," said Chief John Rader, of the Warwick Police. A 25-year-old Monroe man was the victim of the motorcycle crash, Rader said. Police Searching For Suspects In Long Island Home Burglary Police are searching for suspects who broke into a Long Island home, ransacked the home, and stole items. The incident took place in Woodbury around 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10. Smoke Shop In Yonkers Ordered To Close Due To Violations A smoke shop in Westchester County has been closed down due to various violations. The Stationary & Convenient Store -- in Yonkers at 998 McLean Ave. was closed on Thursday, Sept. 8. An investigation was launched by the Yonkers police, fire, and building departments after they received complaints from local residents, said Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos, of the Yonkers Police. The investigation found the store did not have a license to sell tobacco or a certificate of occupancy. There were also fire code violations, Politopoulos said. No word if the store will reopen.

Man Sentenced For New Rochelle Home Burglary A 23-year-old man has been sentenced for a home burglary in Westchester County. Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah announced that Queens resident Kevin Rojo-Rojo, age 23, was sentenced on Wednesday, Sept. 7, to eight years in state prison for a 2021 New Rochelle home burglary.  His sentence will run concurrent to a nine-year prison sentence he received in June 2022 in Nassau County Court for five residential burglaries that took place between January and April 2021.
