Organs Of 18-Year-Old Killed In West Windsor Tesla Crash Will Help Others Live An 18-year-old man has died nearly a week after the Tesla he was riding in was involved in a crash, police in South Jersey said. Daniel "Danny" Hass, a student at Notre Dame High School in Lawrence Township, died Saturday, Aug. 24, his family said in a post on social media. "Our happy, beautiful, warm, loving and beloved son was declared brain dead this morning," his family said. "Danny wanted to be an organ donor, and we are following his wishes! Hillsdale Councilwoman Abby Lundy Arrested In CT A New Jersey elected official has been charged with larceny and forgery in Connecticut, police said. Abby Lundy, age 60, a Hillsdale councilwoman whose term is up on Dec. 31, 2024, was arrested in New Canaan on Thursday, Aug. 22, for crimes allegedly committed on Tuesday, July 9, court records show. Since-deleted social media posts show Lundy had worked for First Candle, an organization dedicated to eradicating Sudden Infant Death Syndrom (SIDS) and other "sleep-related infant deaths." Flames Shoot From Roof Of Clifton Home A fire ripped through the roof of a Clifton home early Monday, Aug. 26. Photos from the scene show flames blowing through the roof of the Madeline Avenue house around 2 a.m. Clifton units operated at an early morning structure fire on the east side of the city, shortly after 2 AM. The fire was placed under control within 2 hours with the help of mutual aid from surrounding towns. Teen Airlifted In UTV Accident On Sparta Farm: Police An 18-year-old male was airlifted to the hospital following a crash on a Sussex County farm on Monday, Aug. 26, local police said. The male was riding on the back of the UTV, a larger type of ATV, which was being used to perform work on a farm on Layton Lane in Sparta, Sparta Police Capt. Tom Snyder said. The UTV made an unexpected turn and the victim lost his balance, falling off and hitting his head, Snyder said. He lost consciousness and was flown to the hospital. "The operator of the UTV was fully cooperative with patrol units and showed no signs of intoxication," Snyder said.

Charges Upgraded For 20-Year-Old Man After Pedestrian Dies In WNY Hit-Run Crash Charges were upgraded for two people arrested in a hit-and-run crash after the victim died over the weekend, authorities in Hudson County said. Samuel Collazo, a 20-year-old Westfield resident, was identified as the driver of the motorcycle that struck Angel Guzman Morales, 54, of Union City, last Saturday, Aug. 17, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. School Bus Crash Leaves 10 Kids, 1 Adult Injured In Glen Gardner: Police Ten children and one adult were injured in a school bus crash Sunday, Aug. 25 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey State Police said. The bus was heading south on State Highway 31 in Glen Gardner, when the driver lost control at milepost 37.5 around 3:10 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The bus hit a mailbox and ended up in a ditch, leaving the 10 children and one adult with minor injuries, Lebron said. The crash investigation remains ongoing.
