Westport Rotary Club Dishes Up A Feast At Annual Lobster Fest WESTPORT, Conn. -- If you left the Westport Rotary Club's Lobster Fest hungry, it was your own fault. The fifth annual event was held at Compo Beach on Saturday afternoon — and it was a sellout. A total of 1,200 people paid $50 each to enjoy two 1-pound-plus lobsters, an ear of corn, coleslaw and potato salad — as well as lots of beer and wine. There was also steak. The Rotary Club attracts numerous sponsors whose funding, along with ticket revenue, is donated to a variety of nonprofits in Westport and nearby communities. Customers Line Up At Danbury Mall For New iPhone 7 DANBURY, Conn. -- Newtown resident Rhett Youngberg was one of about two dozen people waiting patiently in a long line outside the Apple store Friday afternoon at the Danbury Fair Mall to buy the iPhone 7 Plus -- the newest model of the iPhone, which was just released by Apple. Redding Police Chief Puts Puppy Through Its Paces To Become A Guide Dog REDDING, Conn. -- Those who pay a visit to Police Chief Doug Fuchs at the Redding Police Station may notice a furry little brown-haired companion by his side.It's Kato, a 2-and-a-half-month-old German shepherd puppy who Fuchs is training to become a guide dog for a blind or visually impaired person. Fuchs is working with the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, a national nonprofit organization founded in 1960 whose mission is to breed and train guide dogs for the blind.
