Stamford Man Charged With Having Check Forgery Operation Inside Car STAMFORD, Conn. -- Police said a Stamford man was caught Thursday night with a check forgery operation inside his car, according to a story in the Stamford Advocate. He is suspected by police of being involved in a fraud ring, reported the Stamford Advocate. Last month, Bank of America complained about a man depositing forged checks in local ATM machines and withdrawing the money from various accounts before they were found to be fake, the Stamford Advocate said. Large Tree Falls Through Roof Of Monroe Home; No Injuries Reported MONROE, Conn. -- Monroe firefighters and police were called to a single-story home on Williamsburg Drive at 6:50 p.m. Thursday after a large tree fell through the roof of the home.One occupant was home but was not injured.
