She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Brookfield Police Take Part In Program To Curb Distracted Driving BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- The Brookfield Police Department is taking part in the "U Drive. U Text. U Pay.” statewide program through April 30 in an effort to curb distracted driving. Officers will be out conducting additional traffic enforcement during this time to encourage motorists to put the phone down when operating a motor vehicle. State Gives Easton Schools An Overall Grade Of 84.7; Joel Barlow Earns 88.2 EASTON, Conn. — The schools in Easton got an overall mark of 84.7 and Joel Barlow High School in Regional School District 9 got a grade of 88.2 when the state Department of Education released its grades for public schools across the state for the first time in four years. “Our new accountability system will tell a deeper, truer story of how well a school is preparing its students for success,” Commissioner of Education Dianna Wentzell said.
