Sandra Diamond Fox has been a journalist since 2005, working for The News-Times and The Redding Pilot prior to coming to the Daily Voice. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Davenport Ridge Elementary In Stamford Named Banner School STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Davenport Ridge Elementary School in Stamford was recently named a 2015-2016 Banner School by the State Education Resource Center. Davenport Ridge is one of only six schools statewide recognized with this award. The award is part of the Connecticut Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Model Schools Project. The purpose of the project is to recognize schools for successfully implementing school-wide systems for PBIS. Get A Great Deal At St. Paul's Episcopal Church's Book Sale In Greenwich GREENWICH, Conn. -- The St. Paul’s-Riverside book sale will be June 3-4 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenwich.The preview party, from 6-8 p.m. Friday has a $10 admission fee. On Saturday, admission is free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will offer more than 8,000 books across all categories, from new releases to collectible editions to “beach reading.” It also offers kids and young adult books. Hike The Chalk Hill Nature Trail In Monroe On National Trails Day MONROE, Conn. -- The Chalk Hill Nature Trail has been selected as Monroe’s venue for a family-style hike on National Trails Day, Saturday, June 4, beginning at 10 a.m.The trail is open to the public at no charge. Unlicensed Driver Charged With Refusing To Stop For Brookfield Police BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- An unlicensed driver from Danbury who refused to stop for Brookfield police Sunday night was arrested after he ran out of gas, according to the News-Times.Darryl Mourning, 25, of Oakland Avenue, Danbury, was first seen crossing the solid yellow line on Candlewood Lake Road in Brookfield, the News-Times reports.
