She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

John Mayer Set To Headline Bridgeport's Sound On Sound Festival Bridgeport native John Mayer is coming home to perform during this fall's Sound On Sound music festival. Set for Saturday, Sept. 30, and Sunday, Oct. 1 at Bridgeport's Seaside Park, festival officials said Thursday, Jan. 26 that Mayer will headline the festival.  Mayer is the first performer to be announced for the 2023 lineup that draws thousands of fans. James Haynesworth, age 46, was charged on Wednesday, Jan. 25 in Massapequa. Teen Duo Who Stole SUV May Be Involved In Pair Of Shootings, Danbury Police Say Two Danbury teens have been arrested for allegedly stealing a Honda CRV that may have been involved with two shootings in the area and taking police on a high-speed pursuit.
