CT Amazon Warehouse Thief Nabbed After Taking Nap Before Leaving, Police Say A Connecticut man was nabbed for an alleged burglary after deciding to take a nap inside an Amazon warehouse he had just robbed. New Haven County resident David Charles McCulloch, age 42, of Waterbury, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, said the Naugatuck Police Department. Fatal Stabbing Under Investigation In Hudson Valley Police are searching for a suspect in a fatal stabbing in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County around 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30 in the town of Wallkill. Members of the town of Wallkill Police responded to a home at 33 Brookline Ave., for a report of an unconscious male, said Lt. Robert McLymore, of the Wallkill Police. Former College Student In Hudson Valley Sentenced For Murdering Mom Found In Garbage Container A former Hudson Valley college student has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to brutally murdering his mother and stuffing her body in a garbage can. Jared Eng, age 25, who attended SUNY New Paltz in Ulster County, was sentenced to 22 years to life on Wednesday, Oct. 26, for the January 2019 murder that took place in New York City in the Tribeca apartment he shared with his mother Paula Chin, said the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Suspect At Large After Armed Robbery At Riverhead Gas Station Police on Long Island are on the hunt for an alleged armed robbery suspect who shot at a store employee. The incident took place in Riverhead around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Mobile Gas Station located at 1575 Old Country Road. Hit-Run Driver Apprehended After Striking Cruiser On I-95 In Stratford, Police Say A 55-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested after he allegedly hit a Connecticut State trooper's vehicle and then fled the scene. The incident took place in Stratford around 1:05 a.m., Monday, Oct. 31 on I-95 southbound in the area of Exit 33. CT State Police Seek Witnesses After Stabbing During Assault At Shopping Plaza Parking Lot Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help identifying three vehicles in an alleged stabbing attack of a man in a plaza shopping lot. Stranded Kayaker Rescued In Bellport Bay Two Long Island Marine Bureau officers rescued a man after his kayak overturned. Suffolk County Police Officers Terence McGovern and Jack Jantzen responded aboard Marine Mike to a 911 call from a man whose kayak overturned in Bellport Bay, between buoys 8 and 9, around 12:50 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30. The officers located the kayaker, Diego Sponza, who was wearing a lifejacket but no wetsuit, and pulled him aboard their boat, police said. Sponza, age 35, of Shirley, was transported to the Bellport Marina and then to a local hospital for treatment of possible hypothermia.

SUV Crashes Into Local Firehouse In Hudson Valley Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after a woman drove an SUV into the front of a firehouse. The incident took place in Orange County around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the village of Chester on Main Street near Route 94. The woman, whose license was suspended, was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the village of Chester Police said.
