Hudson Valley Woman Loses Control Of Car, Lands In Creek, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman was rescued after she lost control of her car and landed in an area creek. Ulster County resident Marlene Sommers, age 60, of Saugerties, was rescued around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 after driving her 2010 Subaru Outback into a creek, said Joseph Sinagra Chief of Saugerties Police.  According to Sinagra, officers responded to the area of 764 Glasco Turnpike for a call that Sommers had driven off the roadway and landed in Plattekill Creek. Alleged Catalytic Converter Thief Apprehended In Area An alleged catalytic converter Hudson Valley thief was nabbed by state police. Dutchess County resident George Foster, age 39, of Wappinger, was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 16, said Trooper AJ Hicks. On Oct. 16, troopers began investigating the theft of catalytic converters at the Sheep and Wool Festival hosted by the Dutchess County Fair Grounds, Hicks said. Police, FBI Looking To Locate Man Wanted For Rape Of Minor In Hudson Valley The New York State Police and the FBI are asking the public for help locating a man who allegedly raped a minor in the Hudson Valley. Jesus Torres, age 31, of Goshen, is wanted on an extraditable warrant for raping a female child in Orange County, said Trooper Steven Nevel. The Southern District of New York has also issued a warrant for Torres for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, Nevel said. CT State Police Seek Witnesses To Rollover Crash On Busy Roadway Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a single-vehicle crash that killed a 28-year-old man. The crash took place in Windham County on Tuesday, Oct. 25 on I-395 in Killingly. According to state police, Dylan Goulet, of Brooklyn, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on I-395 in Killingly when for an unknown reason, the Tahoe went off the roadway into a dirt median. Goulet then went across both lanes of the highway and rolled several times. He died from his injuries.
