Danbury Police Charge Bethel Man With Selling Heroin To Woman BETHEL, Conn. -- A Bethel man was arrested in Danbury as part of a statewide initiative targeting narcotics dealers who distribute heroin, opioids or Fentanyl causing death or serious injury to users, according to the NewsTimes. Police said Ryan Budd, 25, who was arrested March 9, was accused of selling heroin to a 25-year-old woman who had two non-fatal overdoses earlier this year, said the NewsTimes. Trumbull Rotary Club Offering $1,000 Scholarships To Graduating Seniors TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The Rotary Club of Trumbull is offering $1,000 scholarships to members of a high school senior class.Any graduating senior who is a resident of Trumbull (may be a student in another town) can apply for these awards. In total, the club will award $16,000 in scholarships. Scholarships are given to those students who best exemplify Rotary International's motto "Service Above Self." Student At Wooster School In Danbury Receives National Scholastic Art Award DANBURY, Conn. -- Lukas Palumbo, of Newtown, a student at Wooster School in Danbury, has earned a National Silver Medal in the 2016 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. Lukas’ work was selected by creative professionals as the most accomplished in the nation. This year, nearly 320,000 works of art and writing were submitted.
