CT School Staffers Accused Of Failing To Report Abuse
Employees of a Connecticut school have been arrested on charges of failure to report abuse by a teacher.
The incident, which included the arrest of the alleged abuser in January, took place in Litchfield County at the Plymouth Center School in Plymouth.
Sherri Turner, age 59, of Farmington, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 23, and Melissa Morelli, age 45, of Plymouth, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
Both were charged with failure to report abuse, neglect, or injury of a child or imminent risk of serious harm to a child, according to the Plymouth Police Department.

ID Released For Man Found Burning At Park In New Canaan
A man who was found burning in a park in Fairfield County has been identified by the medical examiner's office.
The incident took place in New Canaan around 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10 in the area of Lapham Road near Waveny Park.
On Thursday, Aug. 25, the medical examiner's office positively identified the man as Howard Alan Fletcher, age 71, of Norwalk, said Lt. Jason Ferraro, of the New Canaan Police.
A cause of death has not been determined, Ferraro said.

Driver Flees After Car Crashes Into Condo Building In Farmingdale
New, updated story: Hit-Run Suspect Caught After Crashing Car Into Farmingdale Home, Police Say
A suspect is on the run after slamming into a Long Island condo, driving through the kitchen area, and partway out the other side.
The incident took place in Farmingdale around 2:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 25 on Stratford Green.
According to the Nassau County Police, the driver of the car drove through a fence, and into the building, causing extensive damage.
No one was injured during the incident, police said.
The driver fled the scene and is still on the run, police said.
